Always take precautious not to splash hot wax as it can cause skin burns.

To make this recipe you will need to do the following :

Start off by preparing your wax to cut it into smaller blocks or grate it on the large part of a grater.

Heating your wax over low heat either in a pouring stainless steel jug on a specially designed hot plate. If not available, use a pot to boil water in and put the jug in the water, with the correct amount of wax. (I use my electric frying pan to do this)

Candle wax blocks often weighs 1,8 kg or 4 lb, therefore make more batches to avoid the wax from boiling over due to too much wax in the jug.

Stir the wax every now and then until all wax is melted. A wooden spoon will be handy.

NEVER leave melted wax unattended as it can catch fire.

Once the wax has melted, turn the stove off. 

Essential oils and colour can be added to the molten mixture.

Once it cooled down and forms a layer you can pour it into your prepared moulds with the wicks secured in the the centre of the candle mould.

Allow enough time for the candles to cool down completely and wrap it or package it for selling.
